Although I’ve travelled the road by car more than enough for fieldwork, it was quite different by train, but similarly stunningly beautiful. It was strange to see so many of my fieldsites from the train. The whole trip I kept exclaiming “Look! I sampled there! Oh, that’s that field plot!”.
