Summer trivia


Just an average collection of sunscreen in our house. Whether a thin ozone layer or unpolluted skies, the sun in NZ burns like a wildfire.
The sunscreen combined with insect repellent must be a NZ invention as well. But remember “Shade is the best sun protection!” (hence my new hat)

Martin and Sandra are off… we’ll see them again somewhere around the island, perhaps they’ll help me with some fieldwork even (they don’t know what they’re getting their selves into!)
To be honest, a short break, a house without visitors, just the two of us, (and some earthquakes) is quite nice for a weekend. And yes, you can all stop asking “have the quakes died down?” They have not, and will probably not the following years. I've added the RSS feed of Geonet with NZ's recent quakes to the left side of the blog. On top of the weather, because quakes seem more variable and interesting than the weather...
